The only software which enables you to record 3D anaglyph stereo video from two webcams with audio from sound card. Has full control over video and audio codec with built-in scheduler. Support MKV, OGM, WMV, and optional MOV, MP4 and animated GIF.
Pros: Most people using the large population of desktops and laptops have access to webcams. Quite often there are twin pack webcams on these machines as cam vendors push for more sales. With two cameras recording the same scene at the same time it’d be easy to create 3D stereo video. HeavyMath Cam 3D is a webcam software which can record 3D anaglyph stereo video by combining the two streams. Anaglyph video is the technology of two slightly different perspectives to be merged into one. This process is expensive, time consuming, and difficult. Cam 3D makes it easy. Two webcams with the same focal length is all you need.
On a preview window one can make adjustments to the cameras to check for the best effects. The red-cyan glasses will give you a good feel of the 3D effect that is coming through the cameras. You could start recording only when you are satisfied with the effect. Matroska Video MKA or OGG Media OGM or WMV formats are supported and you could record in any one of those. MOV, MPEG4 or animated GIF recording is also possible. Control for selecting the recording codec, quality, audio sample rate, channel, bits per sample, and bit-rate etc are available. Other settings available manage if the 3D is to be recorded in color or grayscale as also color filters to be used such as red-cyan, red-blue or red/green. The scheduler in the application lets you record without baby-sitting. Still capture feature lets you do frame grabs. Cut-paste edit functions are quite useful too.
Cons: Wearing those dual colored specs is not really comfortable. However if you do not mind that then the 3D effect could be quite good.
Overall: A nice application with nice and easy interface, this rates a 4 star.
